Ochre Disc Studs
Small hand-rolled clay discs, glazed in a soft mustard ochre and finished with sterling silver posts. Light enough to forget you're wearing them — about the size of a pencil eraser.
Everything here is made by hand at a small bench — clay rolled and cut, wire formed, beads strung. Nothing is mass produced, so the pair you get is the pair in the photo, give or take a fingerprint.

A thin hand-formed hoop in a muted avocado green, brushed rather than polished so it reads matte in daylight. 22mm across, gold-filled wire, feather-light.

A long teardrop in burnt sienna, hung from a slim brass bar. The colour shifts from rust to deep clay depending on the light. 48mm total drop.

Six hand-strung glass beads in ochre, amber and cream, stacked on a gold-filled pin. Each pair is strung in a slightly different order, so no two are identical.

Hand-knotted cotton fringe in a warm rust, on a small brass cap. They move when you turn your head — the pair people always ask about.

The plainest pair I make: a hammered sterling silver bar, 30mm, with a soft matte finish. No colour, no fuss, wears with everything.
Each pair starts as a lump of clay or a length of wire. The clay gets rolled flat, cut with a round cutter, smoothed by hand and left to dry slowly — rushing that step is how you get cracks. Then it goes through two firings with a glaze in between, which is why the colours come out slightly different every batch. The wire pairs are formed on a mandrel, hammered for texture, and finished with sterling silver or gold-filled ear wires.
What that means for you: small variations in colour and shape are normal and part of the point. If you need a pair matched exactly to a photo, say so in your order notes and I'll tell you honestly whether I can do it.
Ear wires are sterling silver or gold-filled as standard. If you have sensitive ears or a metal allergy, mention it in the notes and I'll use titanium instead at no extra cost.
Add the pairs you want to your basket, open the basket and choose Continue to order. Fill in your name, email and where it's going, add any notes, and send it. Your order lands with me straight away and I reply by email with a total including postage and a payment link.
Nothing is charged on this site. Payment happens afterwards by email, so you always see the final postage before you pay anything.
Not sure which pair suits, need a colour that isn't listed, or want something made for a specific date? Send a message and it comes straight to me — I answer every one myself, usually within a day or two.
For a custom pair, it helps to know the occasion, roughly when you need it, and whether you prefer silver or gold-toned ear wires. If you're matching something you already own, a description of the colour is more useful than a photo.
Made slowly, in small numbers, for people who like things that were obviously made by a person.
